    And of course, the logical conclusion to network neutrality is copyright abolition (since an uncontrolled Internet is fundamentally an uncontrolled copying and instantaneous diffusion machine). Unfortunately, the champions of neutrality have as their sponsors those interested in any regulation, simply to get their foot in the door to regulate Internet communications.

    I’d thus be wary of letting regulators in to ensure people can exchange anything they can legitimately exchange at the QoS they paid for. Because then, instead of the ISPs selling off preferential treatment, the regulators will enforce egalitarian and copyright respectful treatment.

    It’s like inviting a pack of wolves in to keep the foxes under control.

    Better to regulate the market of communications providers, ensuring it is competitive, than to regulate communications providers themselves.

    Never mind. Pandora’s box is open. People want to freely communicate. Governments and corporations want control over communications channels. People vs state+corporations. I think the former has the edge, but it’s probably a close call.
