		<description>This is something I am pondering a lot from the  perspective of creating a community for my niche - the pros and cons of open (ie. to my competitors) versus closed.  We know the sorts of issues here: quality and focus of content, relevance and desirability to community, acceptable levels of control versus security, and not forgetting commercial viability!  Perhaps like Jackie Daniki says, there is some middle way that I&#039;ll come up with through experimentation ...</description>
