In the last couple of days I found myself without a connection, both online and mobile. This was very disconcerting and I must admit to severe withdrawal symptoms. I do not feel bad about this addiction though, as it is the way I live and work and frankly, connection should be everywhere. :-)

On the bright side, I had a marvellous time celebrating Thanksgiving with some great people, in a great place, with great food and drink. The pictures speak for themselves…

Yesterday was a long day. A piece in the Guardian about political blogging and the elusive power thereof that mentions Samizdata.net and my own reminenscing about the days when political power was anything but elusive.

Thanks to some good people, tonight I was at a big gala dinner for businesses congratulating themselves on their achievements. It was actually much more fun than I expected, I managed to have a conversation about theology and much non-biz stuff. Yes, even gala dinners are conversations…
